# Find the Mean of X + 3, X + 5, X + 7, X + 9 and X + 11 - Mathematics

Sum

Find the mean of x + 3, x + 5, x + 7, x + 9 and x + 11.

#### Solution

The given values are  x + 3, x + 5, x + 7, x + 9, x + 11

We know, Mean is given by,

Mean = "Sum of the elements"/"Total number of elements"

Here, number of observations = 5.

"Mean" = ( x + 3 + x + 5 + x + 7 + x + 9 + x + 11 )/(5)

= (5x + 35)/(5)

= x + 7.
