Solution

Diameter of the base = 140 cm

Radius (r) of the base = `(140/2) cm = 70 cm = 70/100 m`

Volume of cylinder = `pir^2h`

`1.54 m^3 = 22/7 xx 70/100 m xx 70/100 m xx h`

h = `((1.54 xx 100)/(22xx7))`m = 1

Thus, the height of the cylinder is 1 m.
