Find the height of the cylinder whose volume is 1.54 m3 and diameter of the base is 140 cm?

#### Solution

Diameter of the base = 140 cm

Radius (r) of the base = (140/2) cm = 70 cm = 70/100 m

Volume of cylinder = pir^2h

1.54 m^3 = 22/7 xx 70/100 m xx 70/100 m xx h

h = ((1.54 xx 100)/(22xx7))m = 1

Thus, the height of the cylinder is 1 m.
