Find the distance between the following pairs of points: (−5, 7), (−1, 3)

Solution

Distance between (−5, 7) and (−1, 3) is given by

`l = sqrt((-5-(-1))^2 + (7 -3)^2)`

`= sqrt((-4)^2+(4)^2)`

`= sqrt(16+16) = sqrt32 = 4sqrt2`
