Solution

We have: 

\[f'(x) = \lim_{h \to 0} \frac{f(0 + h) - f(0)}{h}\]
\[ = \lim_{h \to 0} \frac{f(h) - f(0)}{h}\]
\[ = \lim_{h \to 0} \frac{\tanh - \tan0}{h}\]
\[ = \lim_{h \to 0} \frac{\tanh}{h}\]
\[ = 1\]
