Find the cube root of the following number.

Solution

To find the cube root of 8000, let us factorise 8000 first.

8000 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 5 × 5 × 5

8000 = 4 × 4 × 4 × 5 × 5× 5 = 43 × 53 = (4 × 5)3 [am × bm = (a × b)m]

8000 = (20)3

∴ `root(3)(8000) = 20`
