Solution

Given rational number is `(14)/(-49)`

For standard form of given rational number

= `(14 ÷ 7)/(-49 ÷ 7)` ......[∵ HCF of 14 and 49 = 7]

= `(2)/(-7)`

= `(-2)/7`

Hence, the standard form of `(14)/(-49)` is `(-2)/7`.
