# Express the Following Linear Equations in the Form Ax + by + C = 0 and Indicate the Values of A, B and C in Each Case: X - Y/2- 5 = 0 - Mathematics

Express the following linear equations in the form ax + by + c = 0 and indicate the values of
a, b and c in each case:

x - y/2- 5 = 0

#### Solution

Given that

x - y/2 - 5 =0

1 x - y/2 -5 =0

On comparing this equation with ax +by +c 0we obtain a = 1.b = (-1)/2  and c = - 5
