Express the following linear equations in the form ax + by + c = 0 and indicate the values of
a, b and c in each case:

`x - y/2- 5 = 0`

Solution

Given that

`x - y/2` - 5 =0

`1 x - y/2 -5 =0`

On comparing this equation with ax +by +c 0we obtain a = 1.b = `(-1)/2`  and c = - 5
