Explain the following factor affecting the rate of corrosion:
Relative areas of anode and cathode.

Relative areas of anode and cathode: If the anodic area is very small as compared to cathodic area,corrosion occurs.The reason is current density at a smaller anodic area is much greater and the demand for electron by the cathodic area.
