Solution

Radius of the circular orbit, r = 42250 km

Time taken to revolve around the earth, t = 24 h

Speed of a circular moving object, `v=(pir)/t`

`=(2xx3.14xx42250)/24=265330/24=11055.4" km/h="`

If we want speed in kilometer per second then,

`=11055.4xx5/18`

`=3070.9444444" m/sec"`

`=3070.9444444/1000`

`=3.070" km/s"`
