It is possible to obtain a change in direction,

Using wheel C, if the number of teeth in

Wheel C is equal to the number of teeth in wheel A.

∴ NC = NA = 10

Hence, the gear ratio of wheels A and C:

Gear ratio = `"𝑁𝐴"/"𝑁𝐶"`= `"10"/"10"`

∴ The required gear ration is 1:1
