An agent charges 12% commission on the sales. What does he earn if the total sale amounts to Rs. 36,000? What does the seller get?

#### Solution

Commision to agent =12% 0f sales

∴ "Commision to agent"=12/100xx36000

=4320

∴ "Seller recieves" ="total sales"  - "commision to agent"

 =36000-4320

 =31680

The agent recieves Rs.4320 as commision and seller get Rs. 31680
