State one characteristic of the chemical reaction which takes place when dilute sulphuric acid is added to barium chloride solution.

Solution

When dilute sulphuric acid is added to barium chloride solution, it forms white precipitates of barium sulphate. Hence, this reaction is characterised by formation of precipitate.
