Mass percentage of C6H= `("Mass of " C_6H_6)/"Total mass of the solution"xx 100%`

`= ("Mass of " C_6H_6)/("Mass of " C_6H_6 + "Mass of" CCI_4)xx100%`

= 22/(22+122)xx100%

= 15.28%

Mass percentage of CCl4  = `("Mass of " C Cl_4)/"Total mass of solution"xx100%`

= `("Mass of " C Cl_4)/("Mass of " C_6H_6+ "Mass of " C Cl_4)xx100%`

`=122/(22+122)xx100%`

= 84.72%

Alternatively,

Mass percentage of CCl4 = (100 − 15.28)%

= 84.72%
