Calculate the concentration of OH- ions in solution when [H+] = 6.2 x 10-2L mol L-1.

Solution

`[H^+] = 6.2 xx 10^(-2) mol L^(-1)`

`[H^+] xx [OH^(-)] = 10^(-14)`

NOw putting the vlaue of `[H^+]`

`[OH^(-)] = (10^(-14))/(6.2 xx 10^(-2))`

`[OH^(-)] = 1.61 xx 10^(-13) mol L^(-1)`
