#### Solution

Let marked price = ₹100x

Discount = 12%

∴ S.P.`=(100"x"(100-12))/100`

`=(100"x"xx88)/100`

= 88x

According to the statement,

88x = 13.20

`∴ "x" =13.20/88=1320/(88xx100)=30/200=3/20`

∴ Marked price 100x `=(100xx3)/20 = ₹15`

New S.P.`=(15xx95)/100` ........[∵ discount = 5%]

`=(15xx19)/20=(3xx19)/4=57/9=₹14.25`

Concept: Concept of Discount
