#### Question

How many terms are there in the series:

0.5, 0.53, 0.56, ......, 1.1?

#### Solution

The given series is 0.5, 0.53, 0.56, ...., 1.1

0.53 - 0.5 = 0.03, 0.56 - 0.53 = 0.03 etc.

Thus the given series is an A.P with the first term a  = 0.5 and common difference d = 0.03.

Last term  = l= 1.1

0.5 + (n - 1)(0.03) = 1.1

=> (n -1) xx 0.03 = 0.6

=> n - 1 = 20

=> n = 21

Thus there are  21 terms in the given series.
