B = `[(1,0,2),(2,4,5)]`, −3R1

Find the addition of the two new matrices.

Solution

A = `[(1,2,-1),(0,1,3)]`

By 2C2, we get,

A ∼ `[(1,4,-1),(0,2,3)]`

B = `[(1,0,2),(2,4,5)]`

By −3R1, we get,

B ∼ `[(-3,0,-6),(2,4,5)]`

Now, addition of the two new matrices

= `[(1,4,-1),(0,2,3)]+[(-3,0,-6),(2,4,5)]`

= `[(-2,4,-7),(2,6,8)]`
