Relative humidity is determined by the amount of water vapour in the atmosphere (called absolute humidity) in proportion to the vapour holding capacity at the same temperature and same volume.

Relative humidity is inversely proportional to the temperature. When the temperature decreases, Relative humidity increases. It is low when the temperature is high.
