Given,

Horizontal range = 4Hmax

Solution:

Horizontal range = (u^2 sin2theta)/g = (2u^2 sintheta costheta)/g

Maximum height = (u^2 sin^2theta)/(2g)

as given (2u^2 sin theta costheta)/g = (4u^2 sin^2theta)/(2g)

2 cosθ = 2 sinθ

tanθ = 1

∴ θ = 45°
