Solution

Given,

Horizontal range = 4Hmax

Solution:

Horizontal range = `(u^2 sin2theta)/g = (2u^2 sintheta costheta)/g`

Maximum height = `(u^2 sin^2theta)/(2g)`

as given `(2u^2 sin theta costheta)/g = (4u^2 sin^2theta)/(2g)`

2 cosθ = 2 sinθ

tanθ = 1

∴ θ = 45°
