How much solar energy will be received by 1 m2 area in one hour if the solar constant be 1.4 kW/m2?

Solution

Solar constant = 1.4 kW/m2 = 1.4 kJ/s/m2
1 hour in seconds = `60 xx 60` = 3600
Energy received in one hour =

3600 x 1.4Kj/m= 5040Kj/m2
