Solution

Birth control pills or oral contraceptive pills contain two hormones—oestrogen and progesterone. They inhibit ovulation and implantation by making changes in the cervical mucus impairing its ability to allow the passage and transport of sperms and alters the uterine endometrium to make it unsuitable for implantation.
