Solution

Let the truck cover x in 64 litres of diesel.

Diesel (in litres) 28 64
Distance (in km) 448 x

It is the case of direct variation

`⇒"x"_1/"y"_1="x"_2/"y"_2`

`⇒28/448=64/"x"`

i.e., 28x = 64 × 448

`"x"=(64xx448)/28`

= 1024 km
