A quartz crystal of thickness 1.5 mm vibrating with resonance. Calculate it’s fundamental frequency if the Young’s modulus of quartz crystal is 7.9×1010N/m2 and density is 2650 kg/m3

#### Solution

Given Data :- t_1 = 1mm = 10^-3 mm  Y = 7.9 × 10^10N/m^2
ρ = 2650 kg/m3

Formula :- f = 1/(2t)  √Y/ ρ

Calculations :- f = 1/(2 × 10^-3) √(7.9 ×10^10)/2650
= 2.73 MHz

Answers :- Frequency = 2.73 MHz
