m_{1} × v_{1}_{ }= m_{2}_{ }× v_{2}

m_{1} = 2000 kg,

v_{1} = 10 m/s

m_{2} = 500 kg

v_{2} = ?

2000 × 10 = 500 × v_{2}

20000 = 500 × v_{2}

v_{2}_{ }= 20000/500

= 40 m/s

The velocity of car B is 40 m/s.
