Solution

When a fair die is rolled, the sample space S will be

S = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}

It is given that E = {1, 3, 5}, F = {2, 3}, and G = {2, 3, 4, 5}

:.P(E) = 3/6 = 1/2

P(F) = 2/6 = 1/3

P(G) = 4/6 = 2/3

E ∩ G = {3, 5}
