#### Solution

Let the basic price be x

First rebate = 20 % of x

Cost of oomputer after first discount = x - 20 % of x

= "x"- (20 "x")/100

= (80 "x")/100

Seoond rebate =10 % of (80 "x")/100

Cost of oomputer after seoond discount

= (80 "x")/100 - 10 %  "of"  (80 "x")/100

= (80 "x")/100 - (10/100 xx  (80 "x")/100)

= (80 "x")/100 - (80 "x")/1000

= (720 "x")/1000 = (72  "x")/100

Sales tax = 8 % of oost of computer

= 8/100 xx (72  "x")/100

= (576  "x")/10000

Total cost = cost + sales tax

= (72  "x")/100 + (576  "x")/10000

= (7776  "x")/10000

But total cost = Rs 27,216

⇒ (7776 "x")/10000 = Rs 27216

⇒ x = (27216 xx 10000)/7776

⇒ x = Rs 35000

Hence, Basic price of Computer= Rs 35,000
