Clock gain in 24 hours = 10 mint.

∴ Clock gain in 1 hour `= 10/24` mint.

Number of hours when clock indicate 3 pm on the following day = 24 + 5 = 29 hours.

So, clock gain in 29 hours `= (29 xx 10)/24 = 12` minutes

Hence, Right time = 12 minutes to go to 3 P.M. = 2:48 P.M.
