Solution

Number of possible outcomes when card is drawn from pack of 52 cards =52

n(s)=52

Number of red cards (hearts+diamonds)=26=E=event of drawing a red card

n(E)=26

Probability  of drwaing a red card=`(n(E))/(n(s))=26/52=1/2`
