A bag contains cards numbered from 1 to 49. A card is drawn from the bag at random, after mixing the cards thoroughly. Find the probability that the number on the drawn card is multiple of 5.

#### Solution

Total number of cards = 49

Total number of outcomes = 49

The numbers 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 are multiples of 5.

Total number of favourable outcomes = 9

Required probability ="Total number of favourable outcomes"/"Total number of outcomes"=9/49
