Solution

Let B's capital (in thousand) = x

∴ 65 : x : 50 is the ratio of A, B, C's investment

∴ Ratio of profit is also 65 : x : 50

Total profit -=  ₹ 38,000

`therefore  "x"/(65 + "x" + 50) xx 38000 = 15000`

`therefore  "38x"/(115 + "x") = 15`

38x = 15 x 115 + 15x

∴ 23x = 15 x 115

`therefore  "x" = (15 xx 115)/23 = 75`

∵ x is in thousand,

∴ B's capital is  ₹ 75,000
