# 5 M − N = 3 M + 4 N Then Find the Value of the Following Expression. - Algebra

Sum

5m - n = 3m + 4n  then find the value of the following expression.
(3m + 4n)/(3m - 4n)

#### Solution

5m - n = 3m + 4n
⇒ 5m - 3m = n + 4n
⇒ 2m = 5n
⇒ m/n = 5/2

(3m + 4n)/(3m - 4n)

=  [(3m)/n + (4n)/n]/[(3m)/n - (4n)/n]

= [3 xx 5/2 + 4]/[3 xx 5/2 -4]

=[15+8]/[15-8]

= 23/7
