Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts Joint CSIR-UGC NET exams at various centers in India every year. Joint CSIR-UGC NET exam is conducted for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for lectureship in core sciences subjects.
For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Maximum age is 28 years (there is relaxation in upper age limit for the reserved candidates (SC/ST/OBC) according to norms of Government of India.
For Lectureship: There is no upper age limit for those applying for lectureship.
The candidates must have a BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS/MSc/integrated BS-MS or equivalent degree with a minimum 55% of marks for Gen and OBC candidates (50% for SC/ST/PH).
